John Shannon Hendrix

I earned a PhD in Architecture at Cornell University and began teaching in Rome while I was researching my dissertation on Francesco Borromini. I taught at John Cabot University and Roger Williams University in Rome for two years, then came to Rhode Island in 2001, where I am still teaching at Roger Williams University. I have also taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of Connecticut, Providence College, and Rhode Island College. I was a research professor at the University of Lincoln in the UK from 2008 to 2015.

Presenting a paper on The Parthenon and the Allegory of the Cave in Athens, 2025, at the conference of the International Society for Neoplatonic Studies.
